Also known as a cold wallet, it is used as a security measure to protect crypto assets from theft. There are a few types of cold storage such as the Offline Software Wallet, Hardware Wallet, Paper Wallet, and Sound Wallet. Although cold storage is as safe as gold kept in a vault, it is still susceptible to physical damage and being lost or stolen.
